The City of Edmonds is receiving many citizen calls about preparing for natural and man-made disasters, including the threats of terrorism and weapons of mass destruction.
To inform and enhance community preparedness and response, the City of Edmonds and the Emergency Services Coordinating Agency (ESCA) recommend the following publications and websites:

  • Preparing Makes Sense — Get Ready Now
    This 11-page, terrorism-preparedness brochure is accessible at www.ready.gov.
  • Are You Ready? A Citizens Guide to Preparedness
    This 97-page book covers general preparedness from A-to-Z, and can be found at www.fema.gov/areyouready/. Call ESCA for a copy if you don’t have internet access
  • Other Federal Emergency Management Administration (FEMA) Publications
